Public Service

We are making a difference. Community service is a longstanding tradition at Knox. During your time here, we’ll challenge you to live with purpose and contribute to making a better world. You’ll start with experiential learning to augment your studies and lending a hand with a range of local and national volunteer opportunities.

"There was no course for me to take to prepare me for my time in Africa," says Darlene Daer Larson '58, who served in the Peace Corps. "But the total effect of a liberal arts education -- learning about different cultures and disciplines -- made it possible for me to succeed."

  • U.S. Army Brigadier General David Fridovich '74 has served as commander at every level in the Army, commanded counterterrorism forces throughout the world.
