Alpha Phi Omega (commonly referred to as APO), a co-ed community service organization, is the largest fraternity in the nation. With its Knox chapter, you can form lifelong friendships and a sense of leadership while simultaneously serving the community.
APO has chartered more than 700 chapters in the United States, the Philippines, Australia, and Canada.
Goals
To be a member, you must perform 10 hours of service and six hours of fellowship each term. But as far as requirements go to join, you only need to love having fun while giving back to those in need.
Fun and philanthropic events Knox APO students have coordinated include:
APO members have also volunteered locally for Initiative for Girls, Discovery Depot Children's Museum, and the FISH Food Pantry.
Every two years, APO members attend national conventions to vote on fraternity policies and attend workshops to further their chapters. Consider joining APO if you'd like to make a difference in the Knox-Galesburg community and beyond.
