Knox College Business Club

Business Club at Knox is not just open to Business minors, but to anyone who would like to get a head start on building a business-oriented resume. You might find that, in your college experience at Knox, you want a diverse number of options available for you after graduating. With Business Club, even if your minor is something unrelated to Business, you can get a chance to learn one more skill that can help you succeed after graduating.

Business ethics

Asides from resume-building, Business Club helps Knox students get "real world" business experience during their undergraduate years. Knox's Business program, and therefore Business Club by association, holds high the tenets of ethical practices in the business world. With Business Club, you will learn to understand:

• Basic business
• Business ethics and social responsibility
• How to integrate a hands-on business approach with those ethics

With Business Club, you can...

• Develop, find funding for, and run an after-school program, serving as its business managers (rather than as its volunteers).
• Conduct Group Internship Projects, in which four or five students work together for a real company on a real problem and receive academic credit for their work.
• Bring business-related speakers to campus. The group has sponsored talks by Knox alumni Max Tappeiner '99, a specialist in the field of anti-money laundering, and John Marchica '88, author of a book on business ethics.
• Conduct an Income Tax Workshop, helping fellow students file (and learn about) their annual taxes.

With Business Club, you have a chance to travel to business conventions, organize and build your resume, and learn how the world of business works. Anyone is welcome to join!
